Serving as Chief Executive officer of Complete Benefit Alliance, Mr. Griffin provides leadership by directing the firm’s culture and vision as well as business development and growth strategies. In 1991, Mr. Griffin began his career in benefits with a leading voluntary benefits provider USABLE Life. During his 7 year tenure, Mr. Griffin was consistently the number one producer and moved into management after 4 years. In his final 3 years at USABLE Life, he realized the national need of providing face-to-face benefit communications to employers in all markets. In January of 1997, Mr. Griffin founded CBA and has grown the business into an industry leader with clients in all 50 states. He is considered an industry expert in this field and is asked to speak on the topics of benefit communications and the importance of employee education at the workplace.Steven graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Administration in Management. He is a member of National Association of Life Underwriter (NALU), Top of the Table, the Million Dollar Round Table and Southern 7 Chapter of Young President’s Organization (YPO). He is married and devoted father to his four boys.
As Chief Operating Officer, Lexi Massengale leads the company’s internal operations, strategic execution, and cross-departmental alignment to drive enterprise-wide efficiency and growth. As COO, she is responsible for translating vision into action—overseeing day-to-day business functions, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring operational strategies align with financial and organizational goals.
With over 12 years of progressive leadership in employee engagement, digital transformation, and client success, Lexi is recognized for her ability to align cross-functional teams, optimize operations, and deliver measurable business impact. In her prior role as Employee Engagement Practice Leader at iBTR, Lexi led a $15M+ revenue portfolio, driving a 50% year-over-year increase in revenue for 2024. Her strategic oversight encompassed P&L management, workforce analytics, sales enablement, and KPI optimization, underscoring her comprehensive understanding of organizational performance levers. She is known for transforming complex data into actionable insights, mentoring high-performing teams, and championing customer-centric strategies.
Lexi’s earlier experience spans roles in solution architecture, enterprise sales, and client management at firms including Hodges-Mace and Alight Solutions. Her extensive background in benefits technology, HR systems, enrollment support and operational consulting has made her a trusted advisor to fellow leaders and a catalyst for organizational transformation.
Lexi holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Based in Brookhaven, Georgia, and an Atlanta native in her free time, Lexi enjoys traveling with her husband, being with family and she is passionate about empowering teams, fostering innovation, and building resilient, people-first cultures.
Gina Gillilan entered the worksite marketing arena in 1989 as an enrollment manager and quickly became a forerunner in the implementation of employee benefit communications. Gina is a trusted advisor who is involved in staffing, training, and the day-to-day management of the enrollment team. Her sensitivity to any special needs of our clients, along with respectful consideration of their work environment, has proven to be a great asset to our firm. Her experience has equipped her well to tailor an enrollment method that best accommodates the needs of each client. Whether managing enrollments for 150 employees or 125,000, Gina always ensures the utmost attention to detail and personalized service.
Prior to her beginning in worksite benefits, Gina was previously in the hospitality industry, serving as General Manager for several highly acclaimed hotel chains. During her tenure in this field, she gained a real appreciation for excellence in customer/client service that helped mold and prepare her to provide the highest level of service to our clients and deliver a successful enrollment from start to finish.
Gina is a native Alabamian and currently resides in North Alabama with her husband. She has one daughter and is very active in the music program at her church.
Julie Sailers, an accounting professional with a strong financial reporting and compliance background, brings more than 20 years of corporate finance, budgeting, and internal audit experience to her role as Controller. In this role, Julie oversees the daily accounting operations, manages the preparation of all financial reports, is responsible for developing GAAP accounting policies and procedures and administering the HR and payroll functions. Prior to joining CBA, Julie held diverse management roles in raw material production, software, non-profit and other service industries where she discovered her niche in identifying and implementing accounting process improvements for greater efficiency, visibility, and accuracy.
Julie graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.S in Accounting. She earned her Certified Public Accountant certification in 1996 and Certified Internal Auditor Certification in 2009. Married with a teenage daughter, Julie enjoys spending time with family, travelling and exploring the great outdoors.
James B. Kirke has been producing partner with the CBA Family for over 12 years. Jim opened our Phoenix, Arizona office in 2012 to expand CBA’s growing presence nationally and provide valuable expertise to benefit brokers and their clients.
Jim learned hard work, integrity, and commitment from his family heritage who has been serving the Insurance market for almost 100 years. He is an innovative industry leader, with 23 years of experience in employee benefits consulting, benefits administration, and Voluntary Product Sales. He formerly served as National Accounts Director of Sales at Fringe Benefit Group, a leading third party administrator of health and welfare, retirement plans, Limited Medical and Voluntary benefits programs. Jim was also Vice President of Employee Benefits for Willis, a worldwide insurance broker and a part-owner and VP of Sales for Online Benefits, Inc. Jim also served as Vice President of Sales for Kirke- Van Orsdale, Inc., an industry icon from Des Moines, Iowa delivering benefits administration/communication and voluntary benefits.
Jim graduated from Arizona State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and has been married for 23 years. They have three children.
